Pregnancy after miscarriage?

I miscarried five weeks ago at 6 weeks pregnant. I’m still numb from this and doing my best day to day.

I had blood work done 3 weeks after the mc. It said my hcg was at a 1, and therefore considered negative. I took a home pregnancy test and it was indeed super heartbreakingly negative.

My period hasn’t stared yet so I bought a cheap test from the store tonight. It was a faint positive. I am slightly terrified.

Is it possible that this test is picking up hcg from the miscarriage? Or could it be a new pregnancy??
