Friends with tattoo artist?

So I met my tattoo artist about 2 - 2 1/2 years ago. We’ve become really great friends. I feel like I’m constantly getting tattoos , but I also go to just hang out when he has no clients. We text all the time and try to get together out side of the shop. 
Has anyone become friends with theirs?

I have a great friendship with my artist. He’s been tattooing me for almost seven years now. We invite each other to parties for ourselves and for our kids. Sometimes when I go down to get work or just to visit he will have like a stupid little gag gift for me or my husband. He really is the best.

Honestly. I’d love to have something like this with a tattoo artist/piercer. I’m hoping in the future that once I find the right tattoo artist for me, we’ll have an amazing connection where we’re able to talk outside of client-artist. Me & my piercer have a great connection, but she’s also about 30+ years older than me lol. Build that friendship!!

My tattoo artist in Australia is a good friend of mine! Obvs we don’t see each other because we’re opposite sides of the world now but we’re still in touch!
