Daycare mamas is your baby sick often?

Is this normal?! My 6mo has had 5 viruses since the beginning of the year. Including two ear infections, bronchiolitis, and RSV. 
I'm a FTM... Also a nurse.. so I keep everything at home super clean. Ppl at work make comments about how my LO is always sick. 🤦🏼‍♀️
I'm always the one to stay home with her bc I BF and she's super clingy to me when she's sick. I can't help but feel guilty about calling out at work too tho. I work 40 hrs a week and have so much more sick/vac time than my husband. So it's always me.

When my oldest was on daycare she was always sick. Kids with germs with older siblings in school with germs, it’s the daycare plague.

That’s normal for the first two years according to my pediatrician. My son was basically sick from January-March the first two winters in daycare. It’s his 3rd now and he hasn’t been sick once this year. If it doesn’t happen now it’ll happen in kindergarten. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Babes 6 months old and been in daycare since mid- November. We are on: 2 GI bugs, 3 ear infections, and like cold number 4? I’m loosing track! 
It happens. She’s in a room with 4 adults and 11 other babies. She’s bound to get sick. And I sanitize literally everything at home multiple times a week.

That sounds like a lot. Mine started at the beginning of the year and is also 6 months and has only been sick once which lasted a day.

Yea my girl started daycare in September and been sick 7 or 8 times. Multiple ear infections, respiratory infection and twice with a very high fever. She got so sick in December she fell asleep on me in the shower. I feel so bad for her. It’s also caused a lot of fights between my husband and I bc I don’t want to work anymore

My son also goes to daycare can has been sick 3 times since the beginning of the year. He’s 2 years old thought so he is definitely going to pick up some thing being how adventurers he is but that’s quite a lot considering your baby is only 5 months.🙃

Yes. I just recently took my daughter out of daycare. But in the time she was there (2 years) she got sick a lot. A bunch of colds, Hand foot and mouth, rsv 3 different times. And ear infections a bunch of times. There was croup and the flu too at her daycare but she didn’t go to daycare the weeks those were there strong. 
She started to get sick less the beginning of the second year when I started taking her to get adjusted at the chiropractor and giving some probiotics and just washing her hands all the time. She been out of daycare and hasn’t gotten sick besides a cough she currently has.

I stayed at home with my son until he was 9 months old then had to put him in day care for a while. He was HELLA sick the first month he was in and out of there until he built up his immune system a bit but I was beside myself. The first round he had Influenza A, pink eye and an ear infection all at once, next round rotavirus- despite getting his “vaccine” for this and it was bad so I wonder how bad it would have been without his vaccine, then another ear infection, croup and horrible diaper rash that stemmed from the rotavirus. Good god. I’m also a nurse and keep everything super clean. It’s overwhelming and I know they are going to get sick going to the Petri dish that is daycare but I really wish other people had more flexibility with work in taking sick time. I think that’s a huge part of the problem, it’s almost a luxury if we can take time off work to care for a sick kid. It shouldn’t be that way.

He's been in since December, and had had 3 colds and RSV. Pinkeye is making the rounds this week, LOL.
