Constipated?

My girl was pushin’ real hard & when I went to change her diaper it was a tiny little, hard-ish turd. Does this mean she’s constipated? What can I do to help her?

We had this issue with our babe after trying different food. It was black too! Our doctor suggested more veggies, less yogurt and meat. Also to give a bit of prune juice when she has gone a day without a BM. So far it’s been working great! I think it’s mostly the prune juice. Hope it helps!

It could be! Make sure she's getting lots of fluids (water, breastmilk, formula). Personally I'd say if she doesn't have a normal poop within her normal window (our son goes about 1-2 times a day) then you can ask Our doctor for advice or offer some pureed prunes or applesauce.

Sounds like it. When my son has oatmeal I only usually feed him 2oz worth because it constipates him. My boyfriend fed him the full 4oz the other day and the same thing you described happened. I made sure he had all of his full bottles so he was hydrated and the next solid I gave him contained spinach (a green) and his next poo went back to normal.
