Ear tubes and adenoids?

Any mommas here have babes that had to get ear tubes put in or adenoids shaved down?

Looking for experiences and advice. Thanks!

Son is 18 months and goes to daycare so always congested and mouth breathing. Ears have fluid but only ever one infection. Would do this mostly to improve quality of life and aid with development since fluid results in minor hearing loss since it’s like he’s under water. Don’t want unnecessary procedures but also worried for him.
