Any tips, advice, suggestions on what I should bring what be greatly appreciated!! Also, we won’t be bringing his car seat with us on the plane

My son had a double ear infection (unbeknownst to me) so it was horrible to put it nicely when i flew with him at 10 months. I bought lots of snacks and toys and tablet and it would have probably turned out great if not for the double ear infection lol.

Don't stress!  Bring his favorite things and a few new things and lots of snacks.  My baby was super into stickers and tape and those are so easy to pack and take out.  
Don't worry about the people around you too much- babies are humans too and have every right to travel.  Just do your best!  And anyways, I've found that most people are superrrr nice and helpful!!

Bring lots of snacks, extra diapers, toys, maybe baby wear (I found that easier), nurse during take off and landing (or a bottle).

I flew when My daughter was 8 months. Bring lots of snacks and small toys. We also planned the plane ride for her nap time. She slept a good amount of time. Also I was breastfeeding so I picked an aisle seat which was super helpful. We got lucky and had no one else in our row for the flight there but coming home the flight was full. Honestly I was worried ppl would be annoyed sitting by us but everyone was super nice. Try not to stress
