Hello All! I’m having a bit of a problem getting over this insecurity. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year now and everything’s great, he treats me well. But we have an ongoing problem that he doesn’t see me in his future because I’m not his religion nor am I his ethnicity. I didnt understand at first because we haven’t really discussed our future in marriage or even eventually moving in together. We’re still young, going to college, and working full time jobs!

I told him “if you really loved me, wouldn’t you fight for me?” it just makes me feel insecure that

I’m not his religion or his ethnicity. His family is also broken traditional. His parents are divorced which is a big no in his culture, his brother is gay, he smokes weed and drinks. The problem has not come up recently, we both kind of agreed to be with each other in the moment because we both don’t know our future, I just can’t help but feel this way sometimes. Am I overreacting? For reference I’m Mexican and he’s Arab
