What do I do ?!?!?

4 years ago I was married. Looooong story short, we divorced 5 months after because he cheated and stole money.

Fast forward to today, I am in a serious relationship leading towards engagement and my mind is thinking ahead... What would be appropriate to do wedding wise? For instance, I had a big bridal shower with alot pf gifts. I would like to have another one for my marraige with my man but it would be more modest. My mom thinks I shouldn't have a bridal shower.

Also, I won't be inviting as many people to the actual wedding. And this time around, I'm thinking of having a bridal party, a fun part of wedding planning that I didnt get to experience.

Is that inappropriate?
