Voting Question
So with voting season upon us... do you take your Littles to the poll? I pushed the buggy into the voting both last fall and the election staff got so irritated with me. First they get annoyed that Millennials don’t vote, then they get mad that I bring my child. 🙄 Well which one do you want? I didn’t have a sitter that day bc they were all booked and my family was out on work assignments.
*Baby never cried. Was actually asleep while we waited, then just had her eyes open looking around. Just smiles and gave a little coo at the end. Was an easy experience.
My little is now big enough that I can carry her and my ballot, put it on the booth stand, pencil in who I want, and then scan it with one hand into the machine.
I guess I was under the assumption that it was a good thing to take your kids to go vote. Teach them about democracy.
Thoughts? Thanks!
*My parents took us to vote every election as babies/kids. We were always very respectful and never made a scene. We loved getting stickers and my father would explain who we were voting for and why.
