tips for breastfeeding & pumping
hii, first time mom here needing some tips/advice on introducing pumping to the mix..
im returning to work in a couple weeks & need to build a stash for the babysitter.. we’re only breastfeeding & i would prefer to keep it that way as long as possible. since im still feeding on demand i’m finding it hard to add pumping into our schedule when he cluster feeds. i had pumped a couple days last week & wasnt able to for the rest of the weekend which caused me to get engorged or have a plugged milk duct. 😔 along with me not getting much sleep in general, i sometimes get body aches & chills (a hot shower, long feeding, and some rest cleared it up quickly last time).. today baby & i took a much needed loong nap & i now i feel my plugged duct coming back.. along with body aches & chills 😫 .. i pumped to clear it but still feel physically shitty right now..
any advice on how to best add pumping without causing myself to feel like this?? should i be setting an alarm to just pump when he sleeps longer??
my little man LOOOVES the boobie.. almost anytime he’s with me & feeling fussy he gives me hunger cues so i just feed him 🤷🏻♀️ not gunna lie, i love these moments but i know i need to get us prepared for when i return to work 😫😫
