Anyone taking Makena???

Just wondering if anyone is taking Makena shots that go in the back of your arm? I’m experiencing itchiness and lumps under my skin for at least a week after the shot. Anyone else experience this?

I am . Been doing it since week 16 and I’m almost 25 weeks now . I was getting them in my arm but I couldnt do it anymore as I have a 1 year old I have to pick up so I’ve been getting them in my bottom . But we rotate cheeks each week . Mine has knotted up a little but not to much as I massage mine anyways to try and get the stinging pain to stop . It hurts so bad to me , I tear up and get upset on my way to mine done 😭

Yes I’ve been taking them since week 17 I’m 22 weeks tomorrow but mines is being injected into my upper butt hip area it knot up depending on which nurse does the injection but I was told to massage it

Anyone who experienced itchiness, try Benadryl? My dr told me ice and Benadryl but I really don’t like to take any meds if I don’t have to.

I took them for my last pregnancy but it was in my butt cheek. I never had any itchy ness but I also got it I’m a different spot. I would call on call OB and check

Yes i was, the same thing happen to me. My dr said it was an allergic reaction to the oil in the shot, so we stopped them. It lasted 5 days for me. It was horrible!!!
