Dr refused me blood work.

Has this happened to anyone TTCing. I got a positive ovulation test on the feb 10th CD 23 so on feb 11th CD 24.

I called my drs office to see if i could get a progesterone test done to see if i ovulated, and he refused. and said he wanted to wait til my next cycle and monitor me from day 1 of my cycle. I was so confused when the nurse told me. All i wanted was to make sure i ovulated, but im thinking it was because i hot a positive opk on cd 23 and not between cd 14-19. Is the only reason i can think as to why.
