Is it normal for my 1 year old to stick his hand down his diaper after he went poop?

Every time he sticks his hand down his diaper he has poop in there, otherwise he never does it. 
Is this normal?

Unfortunately yeah that’s normal. It’s gross af but lots of kids do it. It’ll probs be easier to get him going on potty training as time goes on tho cos he’s aware of the discomfort. I teach 1-2 yr olds at the daycare and if a kid is doing this we usually start sitting them on the potty. We don’t expect them to go or become potty trained at just 1 yr, but it helps them get used to the idea and such.

Absolutely, he’s doing it because he is uncomfortable. It’s a good sign :) some kids just don’t care, they are usually harder to potty train.

Yeah, he can feel something in there and he’s probably uncomfortable. Hopefully that’s a good sign he will potty train easily down the road 🤞🏻
