Can i eat before glucose test?

My appointment isn’t until 10:50am... and I’m worried I’ll be so hungry if I don’t eat something in the morning... it’s my first test, and my doctor didn’t say otherwise... but I’m worried if i do eat it may sway the test in a negative way since I feel like everythjng had sugar in it 😣🙄

Ask your doctor what they prefer. I was told no restrictions, some womem are told not to eat x time before the test.

Only your doc can truly answer that question.  Mine was against me fasting, but said nothing sugary.  She suggested eggs, so I ate eggs.  Passed with flying colors.  Some docs ask you to fast, though.

I completely forgot about my appointment and ate two bagels with cream cheese and a carb filled lunch. I knew I didn’t need to fast but I was planning on trying to eat healthy that day. 🤷‍♀️ whoops. Still passed. My blood sugar was actually much lower than normal. Only 57! They called me to tell me I passed “with flying colors” lol

I heard your last meal should be the night before at 9 pm the latest & after that you fast only liquid you can have is water & you can’t eat til after your test.

With my last pregnancy 3 1/2 years ago I was told I could eat normal. I ate a piece of peanut butter toast and had orange juice. I passed in the normal range. I havent had my glucose test yet for this pregnancy.
