Birth Story 🄰

Destiny • Baby Lover. šŸ‘¶šŸ½šŸ’• Mommy of 1 ✨ Baby Flores #2 coming 7/6/23

Isaiah was due on Valentine’s Day but I just knew that he wasn’t gonna be that baby. I knew he was going to want his own day just for him cause he’s stubborn as hell šŸ˜‚. My husband and I went to Pappasito’s for Valentine’s dinner and everything was great! Didn’t have to wait too long, food was fantastic as always, and we went on our way! We got home around 10/10:25pm and got ready for bed.

Around 10:45 pm is when my contractions started. They were wonky at first and I wasn’t too worried about them given that I had been having off and on contractions since Sunday. But once an hour went by and they were increasing with intensity and they were lasting the amount of time I was supposed to expect, I knew that I was more than likely going to have a baby soon.

I let another half hour go (12:30 am) by and I decided to call my midwife to let her know that I thought it was time. She told me to come in and we got to the hospital at 1:00. I got my cervix checked at about 1:20 am and I was 8 cm dilated and 90 % effaced at -1!!! By 2/2:30 am I was pushing and by 3:29 am, he was here!!! No pain medication at all. FTM. I would say I killed it!

I did suffer a third degree tear. And it was a very long long process to sew back together. More painful than pushing baby out. I actually told my doctor I’d rather do that over and over than go through the pain/pressure I was having to sew up every tear.
