When did you take newborn out for the first time?

It’s a sunny 70 here in Cali and I really want to go for a walk. My baby is a week old and wondering when everyone else first took their babies out?

I live in San Diego and we started on walks almost as soon as we got home. It’s beautiful here, go for it! 😁

48 hours old, walked to a breakfast place, bundled up, in the Midwest In March. Then started going to bars/restaurants (bars for dinner-relax everyone) at like 4 days old. Walks outside daily within the first week as well. It’s good for you and baby! Enjoy it.

Go for it. I wish i had 70 degree weather. Its sunny and 48 today & im ecstatic to take baby out. We obviously took baby out for his 1 day post birth and 2 week appointment. We took him to costco at 10 days lol people looked at me judgingly. Baby was fine. Hes 9 weeks now & loves going out & looking around. God knows we both need the fresh air & sun from neing cooped up in the house in NYC cold weather.

I’m due in April and if I feel up to it I want to walk home from the hospital. We plan to take baby on walks when we take our dog but will avoid areas with lots of people for a while.

It’s cold where I live but we went out at 2 weeks pp to a local mall. I had a cover over him so no one could get close since it’s cold/flu season
