Steroidal epidural for bulging disc

Back in Feb. 2019 I had an emergency surgery for a herniated disc ,L5S1, and felt great up until about 4 months ago the pain in my leg returned and I felt like I did before it got too bad last year. Long story short I have another bulge in the same spot and am going to get the steroid injection next week. I’m terrifiedx but hopeful it will help with1 round. We are wanting to start trying for our next child and the dr said that sometimes pregnancy can actually help with the pain or of course make it worse. Anyone have any helpful advice?
