BD's gf disciplining your child?

I know a lot of women are bitter that the fathers of their children have moved on and are in relationships with other women . With that being said, what are your views on the baby daddy's girlfriend disciplining your child? Say this woman is on good terms with you, has your child 4 days a week, takes care of them 100 percent when they are in your care? What if the real mom never even bathes her child or spends time with them? Disciplining meaning possible spanking/tapping their behind if they do something wrong or even putting them in time out? 
Yes this is my situation. I have been a step mother figure for 3 years to this child, yet I have been told I am not allowed to discipline the child. I feed, bathe,take the child to school, and everything under the sun that a mother would do.....yet I am not allowed to discipline the kid when they are with me ? What am I, a maid?
 What are your thoughts ?
**Also, the mom is an alcoholic with DUIs, spanks the child often. I however am a nuturing woman with love for every child I meet. I was abused as a child and spanking is not something I do. I was literally warned by the mother to never spank her kid. The kid is a toddler who lied and told her mom that I spanked her. I never touched her. So I feel like the mom just made this up to cause problems between the father and I

Even if the mother is a bad mother she has every right to tell you that shes not okay with physical discipline. And you need to respect that. You should have a discussion about what kind of discipline is ok - obviously the child needs to have limits and they need to be enforced.

I never agree with spanking no matter how soft it is. So nope. I wouldn't allow it. There is ALWAYS a better way instead of violence. And yes. That is violence.

ABSOLUTELY you have the right to discipline them. She can suck it up. The first time I ever disciplined my step kids was horrible. I had just got done cleaning the house and they had a friend over. They asked to play outside and I said yes just be careful because it was muddy out from rain. They were 10 and 11 at the time. They came back COVERED in mud AND took our dog with them so he was covered also. Which I of course had to clean up. I was so angry and told them “Y’all are old enough to not do this and listen” and my step daughter immediately called her mom sobbing about how mean I was. She instantly came and got them and didn’t let us see them for almost 2 months. My husband told her I’m their mom also and she can deal with it. Same with the kids. Since then she still gets upset here and there, that was 2 years ago. The kids respect me more than their mom now and take discipline very well. You ARE a mom and parent figure and do all the same things mom and dad do.

There's always a better way than spanking like timeout etc. Spanking is just a way for a frustrated adult to abuse a child they can't handle their own anger issues so they proceed to spank the child.

If a child needs discipline a child needs discipline. I would want my child to be put in time out of deserved.

I certainly wouldnt spank someone else's kid. Timeout, grounding etc fine but hitting someone elses kid is a no go for me

Spanking you’re going to get allot of strong opinions on this. I’m not sure how I feel yet about this, I just had my first child. 
We got spanked as kids like by our parents hand to our bum and for us we learned respect, and didn’t get spanked often as we learned from it. My husband is still traumatized by being belted or hit with a paint stick thing.
Can you figure out what is ok? Time out chair or step?

Your boyfriend should discipline the child. As a mom who is separated, I wouldn't allow my ex's gf to lay a single finger on my child.
