Early Arrival! 36 Weeker 💙

My son arrived on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at 5:42am! 5 lbs 12 oz. and 18.5 in long.

Natural birth with epidural and vacuum help 😬

He arrived at exactly 36 weeks and my OB is so happy he did. Not only did he have his cord wrapped around his neck once, but my pelvis would’ve been too small to naturally deliver a baby any bigger. So my little 36 weeker and I were right in trying to induce labor the few weeks before this, I just felt the need to and I’m glad I listened to my body!!

After being in pre-term labor twice before this, I’m glad it’s finally over. I was in labor for all around 8 hours and pushed for maybe 30 minutes. It’s all a blur really. My boyfriend (and his daddy) cut the cord and then stayed by my side as they quickly gave him force flow oxygen and then whisked him off to the NICU to help him. I had my boyfriend go be with our son while I was getting a tear stitched up and bawling my eyes out. I didn’t get to hold my son for 7 hours after he was born, I barely even got to see him for a few seconds after he was born, it was hard. But once I did, I couldn’t let go.

We’re now home and he’s perfectly healthy! Can’t believe he’s already 3 days old 🥺💕

I’m in an abundance of discomfort and pain, but I would 100% do it all over again for him.
