Plan B vs Baby (spoiler: Baby won ❤️)

I had my IUD in for 2 1/2 years before it came out of place and was causing a LOT of discomfort. Gyno had to remove Ole Faithful (my IUD) but was going away over the holidays so she couldn’t put another back in. I had surgery scheduled so I wasn’t stressed; just thought we’d use the pull out method (boy, was I wrong).

While I was on medical leave, my partner treated me to a romantic date night since it had been awhile since we were intimate due to my procedure and we conceived on my 1st fertile day of my cycle (so much for pulling out lol).

I was worried since we hadn’t had the baby talk for awhile (Hubby wasn’t phased and welcomes the thought of little ones). I took a plan B pill 28 hours later. A week before my scheduled period, my mom suggested

I take a pregnancy test and WHOOP THERE IT IS! 2 PINK LINES like a little candy striper. My partner was soooo happy but he thought I was playing a trick on him haha.

This is our first honey bun together and we can’t stop looking at baby stuff (that we know we don’t need but it’s just all too cute). We’re just calling our poppy seed “Junior” for now. He wants a girl but I have a gut feeling (pun intended) that it’s going to be a boy. 7 week ultrasound next Friday but all we’re praying for is good health and smooth delivery.

Still so early in the pregnancy yet we both just want Junior to be here already so they can get all the snuggles and huggles.
