How many days past ovulation?

How many days past ovulation does a pregnancy test show whether it’s positive or not? I should’ve got my period last week but it hasn’t came and 2 weeks and a half past ovulation and want to know when’s a good time to test.

If you’re period is late that means you ovulated late. If you aren’t tracking your ovulation there is no way to tell how many dpo you are. But typically 12-14 dpo you would get a positive test. 
The only thing you can do is keep testing every few days,  because if you ovulated late you could still be too early to show a positive.
