I need some advice. I recently just had my youngest daughter a few weeks ago and my oldest daughter has to have surgery next week. My husband hasn’t been able to work a lot this month because of me having the baby and having to take care of our oldest daughters problems. I called our landlord told her we will pay a late fee but it’s gonna be the end of the month since this is a hard month. She was fine with it. We are also building a tiny house that we are almost done with. Tonight when we got home there was a letter on our door saying if we didn’t pay rent in 3 days they would take legal action. We aren’t going to have rent in 3 days so my question is, we have a place to go until our house is finished but can they take my babies for being evicted? We have never been late like this before it’s always paid on the first payday of the month which is usually within 2 days of when rent is due.
