When other kids are sick

LO's cousin who is 1.7yrs is now with Bronchitis. The girl is ALWAYS sick. Then it's the mother, then her father. The cycle never ends by them.
 Next Sunday there will be lunch at my in-laws and we said we are not coming because  of the sick girl, MIL said, "ohhh it'll be fine" I don't get how they will not stay home with their child but bring her around family and the healthy ones have to avoid gatherings. This is my life with my girls cousins too. Unfortunately my sister in law and her baby have had some issues where they’ve been in an out of the hospital so I’ve had to babysit a bunch. I’m actually amazed that this is the first time my girly has gotten sick (just a cold 🤞) hoping it helps her immunity in the long run but it’s hard

I totally agree. It’s kinda of disrespectful to attend gathering while sick. If it’s a little cold it’s fine but bronchitis it’s a big no for me!

Bronchitis isnt really contagious...I get the concern but its inevitable someone will be sick this time of year. Just keep baby away from those that are. Its not like when they were a newborn. I dont really think it's fair to say they cant come especially if one of them always has something. That's the reality of having a young kid.
