Couldn't do the deed during peak
Last weekend was Valentine's, my anniversary and also my peak ovulation. We planned on going to town like a couple of bunnies but life interrupted.
Friday (Valentine's): We were eating dinner when I got a message. There was an emergency, neonate case. 2 one day old orphaned kittens. They hadn't eaten since they were born and they were still covered in after birth. My husband and I drove 2 hours to pick them up. By the time we got home it was almost 2 am and we were exhausted.
Saturday (Peak Ovulation): I slept in 2 hour increments. Every 2 hours, I weighed, fed, and helped them potty. Unfortunately, one of them stopped eating and gaining weight. Voice, as we were calling them, passed away around 11 pm.
Sunday (6 year Anniversary): I desperately held it together and kept my 2 hour ritual with Leggs, as we were calling them. Unfortunately, Leggs also began to lose weight and stopped eating. They passed away aroun 11 am. We buried them next to Voice. We spent the rest of the day sanitizing and crying.
I spent my peak ovulation weekend trying desperately to save 2 lottle livea that really never stood a chance. They had an URI and they were too young and too sick to fight. We missed our window.
Now I'm halfway through my TWW and I already know how this month will end.
