What do contractions feel like??

I’m a FTM so I have no idea but I keep getting this feeling where my stomach gets way hard and it almost feels like I have to fart really bad but I can’t 🤦🏼‍♀️ it’s comes and goes too

That’s a practice contraction. It’s your body preparing for the real thing.  During The real contractions, the same thing happens but they will be accompanied by pain.

You will be able to tell when the real contractions start. It’s all in your belly area and the pain is 10x more painful then cramps

Those are Braxton Hicks.  For me they're more annoying than painful. When those become painful, start timing.

I’m also a FTM and was told “oh you’ll know” but I thought I had a bad kidney infection. I only felt contractions down low & in my back. But the nurse felt the tightening in my stomach.

I agree with everyone above I thought contractions were like the worst period cramps of my life.

Everyone told me I would know when a contraction was real vrs a Braxton Hicks contraction and they were so right! A true contraction is very defined, it starts and has a clear peak and then tapers off. Braxton Hicks are more a tightening discomfort and a real contraction is truly painful.
