What do you do when your SO is frustrated?

Whenever my hubby is doing things like putting furniture together or fixing things around the house, sometimes he gets frustrated and starts cursing or will punch things 😳
I do the same when I have a project that's not coming together! But what do you do? I tend to stay out of the way and leave him in his angry little world. One time I offered him orange juice and sat it down on a chair next to him. Welp that chair went flying out into our yard about five mins later  (he was working on a woodworking project in our garage) 😂
We always joke about it now, but at the time I felt so helpless as to what to do, haha.

Anyway, what do YOU do when your SO is frustrated like this?

It depends on what he's mad about. Sometimes he's just being an over dramatic idiot and I just give him this "are you serious?" Look and tell him to get his crap together. Other times I know he's just acting out of anger/being over dramatic because he doesn't want to cry and break down over something that's been bothering him.. He was taught not to cry so I've learned the difference in situations. I usually give him his space and in 5 minutes he's ok.. And if he's not over it quickly I know he's needing to talk about something else that's bothering him. It's funny how men say we're the dramatic ones.. Lol!😂

I tend to leave him to his frustrations and rub his head when he's calmed down some.  We don't really bother each other while frustrated because we tend to take out those frustrations on each other and end up feeling worse afterwards.  If I'm frustrated, he'll go do some yard work or go for a ride.. When he's frustrated, I go to the store or go visit with a friend so he can have some alone time to shout as much as he wants or cry if he needs to. Whatever it takes to let it all out.

My husband never acts like that. If he gets frustrated he barely shows it, and he'll just walk away from whatever he's doing for a while. Throwing and punching things isn't normal to me. I wouldn't be okay with it. 😕

I talk to him in a very stern voice to get his emotions together and start acting like a man not a child. That usually does the trick and he walks away and cools down. But he's never punched or thrown anything. He mainly just starts cussing and yelling. He's got an Italian temper.

My husband gets frustrated, but not like that. Punching and throwing things? That's really childish. 
My husband swears sometimes when he gets frustrated. I give him a hug, rub his back and make a joke to make him laugh. I usually then make him take a break from what he is doing until he calms down.

We don't really get in arguments, but he i is the BIGGEST worry wart ever.... On some serious levels... And I'm more of like go with the flow whatever type. He gets his panties in a bunch and i just say "wahhhh" and he gets more pissy..
 I usually just leave him alone.

My husband throws bigger tantrums than our toddler. I send him to his shop and tell him he can stay out there till he calms down! Just like I do when our toddler throws a fit he gets put in his room for a time out.

Mostly my hubby is frustrated with trying to get his business going and money especially now since we're expecting #2.

My husband acts like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum.  Depending on the situation, I will either be such a sarcastic smart ass who references South Park until he starts to laugh.. then we find a way to fix the problem  or I will leave him alone, not talk to him, not look at him, when he comes in the room I leave. He gets the point that he needs to change his attitude, then he will come in and as I am walking past him, he will hug me, kiss me, tell me loves me but that he hates, for example, our new BBQ Grill and may throw off the boat dick into the bay..lol.. then we laugh, I tell him it will all be ok, then we build or fix whatever it is, together.

My husband doesn't get physically violent when he's mad, he closes in on himself and holds it in, which is also super hard to deal with. I usually ask if I can help and if not, leave him alone for a good hour or so. Once he's simmered down I'll talk to him, tell him if I was upset by anything he did or said when he was angry, and try to find a solution so he doesn't do or say those things in future. He does the same thing with me and it tends to work really well. We've been together for five years and the number of fights we have had has gone down by a pretty big number.

I just tell him " are you seriously that stupid that's not how it goes, you do this, move so I can do this right " Not seriousness that's how we joke so he laughs and isn't so frustrated although I do usually end up doing it or helping.
