Clingy baby?

Hello moms so im hoping you guys can shed some advice and help😭, So a quick back story this is my first time being a SAHM. With our first i was still working and going to school and she was being watched by our family member so she didn't have any seperation anxiety. Well fast forward now i am a sahm due to us moving far from family because my husband got a new good job that i didn't have to work and he felt more comfortable with having me watch our kids but heres the issue. My 9 month old son is superrr clingy i understand why and im really patient but i need to put a stop to this from getting worse.

When he was 6 months old we noticed he has seperation anxiety but it wasn't bad, at the time my mom would baby sit for us to go have a date night and even kept him over night but now that he's 9 months old its worse, shes offered to watch him again but we ended up coming home early because he would just cry, And now even if i go to the restroom and its just us while my husband is at work and our daughter in school he has a complete melt down and its stressing me out 😭... i feel bad but i want to slowly if theres a way to ease his seperation anxiety and if anyone else has tips or reasurance that it gets better please
