Baby shower date help

Ladies I’m a first time mom so I could use your opinion. I plan on having my baby shower 2 May, with my due date being 2 June. I decided 2 May so family can have enough time to arrange travel arrangements . Do you guys think this is a good time frame? I’ll be around 35 weeks. I just wasn’t sure if it’s cutting it too close in case I deliver early. I also don’t know if it’s too late in regards to how tired and big I’ll be. I’m probably just paranoid but appreciate all suggestions.
