Is it normal to cramp for the first couple weeks?

I just found out I am pregnant (Yay! First one!) but I’m still having light cramps like I would on my period. No bleeding. Is that normal? I’m trying to get in to see my OB\GYN anyway, but I want to know if I need to press the appointment date sooner. Sorry if this is the wrong thread.

Yep - normal all the way through your pregnancy. Your uterus is about to grow a whole lot and there will be on and off cramps the whole way through.
Sometimes they’re like period cramps, sometimes stronger and sometimes different like shooting pains.

I had terrible cramps throughout the first trimester. Really strong back cramps. They faded to not as bad around 10 weeks tho! It’s my first pregnancy as well so it freaked me out but it’s normal

Yes, totally normal. I cramped a lot during the first trimester with all my pregnancies.
