Kangaroo care

Today is the 5th day in the NICU with my baby girl. I was doing some research on NICU depression and something came up about kangaroo care.

Do you have to be breastfeeding to do this? I am not breastfeeding but online it said kangaroo can be very beneficial and I want to help my little girl anyway I can.
