Another man?
Please no hate, just looking for a little advice.
I’ve been long distance with my boyfriend for a couple months, with a few left to go. We’ve been dating for over a year and a half, and we have been doing fantastically recently (and pretty much for the entire relationship). I can absolutely see a future with him, and it is the first relationship I ever felt sure would really last in the long-run, barring something unexpected.
Recently I went to a small party with some of my friends. We were drinking and everything was great, and people began to trickle out until it was only the host and me left. Everyone there was a dancer and we were all dancing the entire night, so my friend (the host) and I had one last dance at he end of the evening before I left. After an aerial, he set me down on the couch and then got on the couch himself, leaning in close to me. I can’t remember exactly what he said, but it was basically asking if I wanted to go to his bedroom. I had mentioned my boyfriend once to him before, so I said, “I can’t, you know I have somebody”. He was very respectful and backed off, and we hung out for a little while just chatting before I left.
I would never cheat on my boyfriend, and I would leave him before being disloyal. But I have to admit that if I was single, I would’ve slept with my friend in an instant. Right now I’m stuck in a weird place and am not sure how to proceed... I can’t stop thinking about my friend, but I won’t throw away my relationship for him. I guess I’m just wondering if any of you have been in this situation and how you dealt with it in your own head. Should I tell my boyfriend? Nothing happened, so I don’t want to give him any extra stress (he’s been cheated on in a LDR before). The lust is real, and I wish it wasn’t there.
