Rain coat?

Are rain coats necessary for 1&2 year old?

I got one for my then 1 year old. She loves playing in the rain during the summer.

Well depends how much it rains where you live, and if you spend time outdoors. Here kids are outdoors playing 2+ hours a day in daycare and kindergarten. In all kinds of weather and temperatures all year around. So for us it's a must, full rain suit is often more practical than a rain coat and rain pants.

I grew up in Portland, OR where it rains almost every day 9-10 months of the year. I never owned a rain coat lol. I used an umbrella or I just got wet

No. But they’re sure cute. I got both my kids one at that age. They come to work with and have to go out to the school bus which is kinda far in the lot so the rain jacket helps

Depends on where yoy live and how often you let your little one walk as opposed to using the stroller.  Where im from it rains from September to April so I'll be getting one when the time comes.

If they’re walking enough to go on trips without a pushchair I say yes, I’ll get one for my 1 year old as as it rains quite often where I live so if I’m taking him to and from the car etc carrying him somewhere then he will wear it
