My poor baby

I took my cat to the vet today. I knew something was wrong but didn’t realize just how bad it was. He’s been losing weight over the past few months but I thought he was depressed because we’ve recently moved. We got blood work done and turns out he has lymphoma. Unfortunately there’s no cure for it, we can only treat it and hope he goes into remission to buy him a few more years. It really sucks, my boyfriend and I have been crying all day. I wish there was something more I could do, I feel like a terrible owner. He’s not even 2 years old yet. How could this happen?? I could use some words of encouragement right now.
