Sexual assault

Recently I spent 10 days in India with my university. On the second to last day we travelled on the metro and a guy put the back of his hand on my private area. I moved out of his way as the metro was crowded and wondered whether his hand was just at the right height and it was a mistake. I move out the way and his hand moves backwards to find my private area again. I whacked his hand away but it was time for me to get off so I had no time to do anything else. I told the group I was with and they were very supportive but I cannot get this incident out of my mind. Everywhere I go people ask me how India was and all I think about is the incident.

I'm sharing this because in my mind I feel like I was the criminal. I feel I've made the whole story up, that the incident was an honest mistake. I don't know how to move past this.
