Induction stories anyone?

I went to my OB today for my 20 week check up. He said that my high risk doctor wants me induced between 37-39 weeks, he said he prefers 38 weeks. I’ve never been induced before as I had my first child naturally.
I just want to know what to expect?... Pain, vag, c section. Also I hear a lot of women talking about the medication that starts with a P. I haven’t looked it up for myself but if I recall they didn’t want it and why. Thank in advance.

Yes I had pitocin which helps speed up labour. My doctor gave me the eipidrual before the pitocin since pitocin will make contractions worse. Didn’t feel a thing !! Get the epidural first at around 4cm!

Ok so this will be me in 4 days due to this baby being on 10% percentile. I’ve had 2 sweeps and nothing (1cm dilated 3cm long)
With my first I was induced at 41.6 weeks. Please remember it’s different for everyone....
I had a pessery at 8pm Friday, had contractions all night. Waters were broken by MW at 10am. Still didn’t get into real labour. Was put on the drip at 11:30. By 3pm I was 3cm dilated. Oppied for a epi as the pain and fact I wasn’t dilating was exsulating me. I was ready to push by 9pm but she was cault in her cors so had corvettes to get her out. She was born at 00:51 Sunday morning
