What did contractions feel like for you?

First time mom trying to figure out what contractions feel like lol I’ve been cramping all afternoon and half the night not sure if they are contractions or not 😬😩 I just had a sweep 3 days prior to today and and had one today as well. I’m so uncomfortable and crampy. I cannot sleep or lay down I just end up feeling worse. what did yours feel like when they started and progressed?

Started out as just cramps. They just intensified to the point I would stop in my tracks and  have to breath through them. To me, they are very hard to describe. But they were coming so regularly for me I knew they were contractions. Prior to my labor starting I had zero! Signs she was coming. I had no previous contractions besides that day, no Braxton Hicks, nothing. I had a sweep done at 38+6, had her 48hrs later at 39+1.

Mines were weird. Started off as tingling down my thighs then like bad sciatica up and down in waves to my knees and up again. When pushing felt like bad IBS vaginal cramp.

Started as cramps but mostly pain in my back. I could also see when it was happening as my belly would tighten. Honestly, you will know when it’s happening. Good luck x

They start as cramps, then mine would go from cramping in the front to pain in my back every time I contracted. Then it was pain all over. Just take it easy, and if it's real labor you will know soon 😂 as soon as you start getting near transition the pain will be unmistakable

Mine started out as a back ache that I couldn’t get comfortable with and kept coming every 5 minuets
