Pre cancer cells detected in cervex

I had my annual exam last week and just yesterday got news that their were precancerous cells detected. I'm totally shocked honestly. In a few weeks I have a colposcopy scheduled to get a better look and more than likely they will get samples. I'm scared and hate I have to wait weeks to get this done. Has anyone else been through this? I just pray it's nothing and I'll be okay.
