22 weeks pregnant with a toddler and SO leaving out of state!

I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend of 5 years works in geo drilling. So Beginning of April he’s going to New Jersey (we live in Michigan) for 9 weeks to drill Princeton university. And we’ve never been that long or far away from each other. Now he does work out of town Monday-Friday but always home on the weekends. Normally we spend time as a family, we also have a 2.5 year old and those weeks are rough on her and she become possessive of her dad and doesn’t let him leave the house or her sight without her. Anyways last night we were talking (this just got thrown to him yesterday) and the biggest worries is our 2.5 year old and how to help her adjust to daddy not being around for those 9 weeks. Im also worried about him missing most of the my pregnancy and the fun stage! Any advice on how to possibly prepare our toddler for the leave or make it a little less traumatic on her? She is allowed to call him whenever she wants but due to loud equipment he hardly answers. He does call her every night before bed to say goodnight.
