Sex???

Hi ladies! So after a long time TTC, many tests and medications, my husband and I are finally expecting our first!! However, because we had such a hard time getting here we’ve been very nervous not to do anything to hurt the baby. Someone close to me said it’s better not to have sex so early in the pregnancy (im a little over 5 weeks), so my husband and I have not had sex since we found out. We’ve done other things and every time after orgasm I experience major cramping. Is that normal? Is it okay to have sex ? Any advice ? Thanks I’m advance!

Orgasm causes the uterus to contract, so it's very common as your uterus it growing to experience cramping after orgasm.
Unless your Dr has put you on pelvic rest, it is perfectly safe to have sex during any point in pregnancy.

Sex in early pregnancy is fine unless you’ve been told otherwise. You’ve been having orgasms which causes the same thing that sex does. Orgasms cause your uterus to contract. Drink more water and lay down for a bit and you’re good

I have this too and at first it scared me but I guess it's normal... I found when I lay down for a bit afterwards it's not as bad

all normal! Even with a past miscarriage I'll still masturbate and get crampy afterwards. So far sex has been okay although I have been a bit dry. But the embryo and later fetus is super protected and far enough away from a penis it isnt a concern. Also your cervix is now closed so nothing from the penis should get in there. I was a bit swollen with my expanding uterus so some positions were a bit uncomfortable, but sex is definitely safe, encouraged and doable.
