Failed hospital hearing test?

Laura

Hi everyone, ftm here little girl was born at 40w3d on 3/9/2020 at 2257 🥰 she is perfect except she had the required hearing test performed in the hospital before we got sent home and they said she failed and they rescheduled an outpatient test for 3/27 😕. The screening method done was the auditory brainstem responses (ABR) and she failed in both ears; the technician did say that she had some response on each side but that it wasnt enough to pass her. She wasnt concerned because she said it was most likely due to some amniotic fluid left in the ear canal due to a short pushing phase (my entire labor (started as an induction) was only 6hr 17min and i only pushed for about 30 minutes). She was spitting up a lot of amniotic fluid the first couple days as well which she said corroborated her theory. As a ftm though i cant help but be worried lol anyone else had any experiences with this and what were the outcomes? Please and thank-you!
