What age did your LO start using a fork?

Also, what age did they start using children’s metal cutlery rather than the plastic baby spoons?

We always just used smaller metal cutlery when we started regular solids. So like 8/9 months. Was he good at using them? Haha no absolutely not.

Both my 14mo old and 3yo use these, or an equivalent, with varying success. I think my 14mo old might have gotten a little practice with them slightly younger than recommended (she wants to do everything her big brother does), but we watched her closely.

My son hated utensils for the longest time. He was closer to 1.5 before he started using them regularly. My daughter started using utensils early on, around 1. She also was more into solids than my son ever was.
