Would you go to a small birthday party tomorrow in an area of the US with no confirmed cases of the virus that shall not be named. I have small kids. I know, I know. Another post about it. Please shoot me.

It depends. If anyone who will be there has traveled lately then I wouldn’t go.

Yea. I’m going to my Nana’s Bday party tomorrow and it’s in the county with the most confirmed cases in my state. I’m pregnant with a one year old. As long as no one has recently traveled to an area that it’s widespread or had been in contact with someone who is positive, your risk is super low.

The way I see it, this could go on for MONTHS. I’m not going to put our lives on hold. I will avoid some situations, but Unless I have a specific reason to isolate myself and my kids, I’m generally going about my life as usual, just taking precautions with more frequent hand washing etc.

I mean, same answer as to everyone else who's asking. Do you have people with compromised immune systems or respiratory issues that you or your family will see in the next two weeks? Do you think you can manage under a quarantine if you do get it? Those are questions you know the answers to, not us.
