Fighting With Bf

My bf and I had plans yesterday to hang out and then a little before we were supposed to he said yes to going to work instead. I was upset because he would have never done that if it was his guy friends that he had plans with. I find so many times when we have plans to hang at the last minute something comes up. Now we haven’t spoken since yesterday early in the day. We’re both ignoring each other. He told me I was a “selfish asshole” because I was upset he chose to work. I just missed him and wanted to hang. What should I do? Message him? Wait? :(
