Are you gelous on your husband exes?

I met my soon to be husband when I was 35 and he was 38. Of course, none of us still virgin.

At the beginning he used to tell me a lot of things about his exes. I never asked but the comments kept popping out from time to time. After several times i told him to stop doing that and the frequency decreased.

5 years later we are happily married and TTC. Today, we were discussing about how difficult is to get pregnant vs how scared you are about that when younger.

And his answer was: yeah, i remember running from pharmacy to pharmacy one Sunday to search for the second day pill.

God, i was so happy today, thinking about our future bby and thinking this could be the month. And than, this comment of his made both of us think about his girls from the past.

This is just an example. But it’s often some small details that make him think about others. Like Proust and his cake.

When I hear this comments it’s like having dark shadows over my heart. Why does he have to be so found of the past? I never talk about my exes and never think about them with such melancholy. For me it’s buried history for him precious memories.
