Do you breastfeed and bottle feed at the same time?

I know they say not to because nipple confusion. I have a 3 day old newborn and started her on my breast but then moved to bottlr but she still will look for my nipple (but she takes a bottle just fine) just wondering if anyone does both and things work good?

Yes. I introduced a bottle at 2 weeks so I Could sleep at night and there hasn’t been any nipple confusion.

My daughter is almost 4 weeks old and has been on both bottle and breast due to the fact that my milk was very delayed coming in. Shes exclusively breast fed now but once in a while we give her a bottle of pumped milk but I use a nipple shield so I think it helps her not feel confused. She usually hesitates with the bottle a little since she doesnt get it often but doesnt resist it. I do prefer to just nurse her cuz pumping is a lot of work

I introduced the bottle at 5 weeks because I had to go back to work at 6 weeks and I needed to know our son wouldn't go hungry during my 12 hour shift. He took right to it and we never had any problems. He definitely prefers the breast though.

Sometimes it depends on the baby(: My son latched at the hospital but when I gave him a bottle, he had a hard time latching after. I have lots of friends though that go back and forth with breastfeeding and bottle feeding with no issue. I may have done it too early and he seemed to become somewhat lazy when I tried to breastfeed 😆 With the bottle he didnt have to try as hard to get the milk vs having to work harder to latch and suck while nursing.

I try not to bottle feed my baby but if I’m not home & I leave him with family for a couple hours he takes a bottle but he usually gets a bottle a day that I put vitamin D & gripe water in it but in all honesty he prefers nipple over bottle☺️😊💗￼
