Can the mirena cause sharp pains?
I have had the mirena in for 2 years and recently I have started getting extremely sharp pains when close to my period. I never used to get this. Can the mirena cause this? I thought the mirena was supposed to help with cramps, not worsen them.
I have had ultrasounds to check the mirena wasn’t out of place, and everything was normal.
