Period and pregnant?

Can you be pregnant and have a period...I ask because I have heard a few people has encountered this when I have done research?this is happening to me but I am just curious.

The only way you can have a period and be pregnant is if you have 2 uterus's. Other that than its not possible to have a period while pregnant but you can have breakthrough bleeding while pregnant which can seem like your period. Good Luck

No. You can bleed and be ok but you cannot have your period because a period is getting rid of the extra lining of the uterus and the egg. Your zygote, embryo, fetus, is still there as well as the lining. Therefore not a period

I had my "period" for the first 6 months of being pregnant. But it was a light period but it came every 30 days. :) my doc even looked to see where I was bleeding from & she stated everything was closed up & I shouldn't be bleeding.

No you can't have a period. You can bleed. As long as it isn't heavy like a period it should be fine but if it's heavy and your having to change your pad out every hour it's probably not a good sign. Either way I would go get checked just to make sure. I bleed my first trimester. I had blood behind my placenta but it stopped after I was 12 weeks.

To  those of you that it has happened...was the baby healthy and were you healthy/safe pregancy and delivery? What do you mean by light....like spotting or where you can wear a panty liner (if that),or just seeing blood on the toliet paper?
