Does anyone have we chat and know what it is?? I found it on my bf’s phone. I really need some help I found multiple apps on his phone for dating sites and etc (like actual dating sites so I was wondering why he’d download an app like WhatsApp)

WeChat isn’t a dating app at all. It’s basically a kind of WhatsApp predominantly used in Asia. It’s huge in China and everyone uses it for free texting, video calling etc.

WeChat is mainly a Chinese social media and/or messaging app, it can be used among friends, family, business etc. But there are also mini games where one can meet another, sometimes you find a new friend, other times it’s just creepy. Rely on your own instincts though

it's just a chinese whatsapp/telegram. i use it for talking to family and for nfc payment when i'm in china/hk (they use qr codes for a lot of services like taxis).
