This guy I was having sex with, was explaining to me that other girls that he has had sex with were hoes and when I asked what makes them a hoe? He said because they call him and say "come over and let's have sex," but does that really make a girl a hoe? What if he's the only one she's having sex with and is just in the mood?

Consensual sexual activity does not make anybody a hoe. The term hoe was created by men who wanted to own and control women's bodies by making them think being sexual beings is wrong. Having sex no matter who it's with or how many people it's with is not wrong and is nobody but the people involved's business (as long as it's consensual of course). This guy obviously does not respect women as people who can make decisions about their own body and feels the need to insult them with derogatory terms to make himself feel like he has power over them. It's your business of course and your relationship but I would never be with anyone who would insult any woman  like that.

I think a girl is only considered a hoe when she is known to have sex with many guys and never settle down into a relationship with one. If she is single and hits a guy up for sex that doesn't mean she's a hoe if she's not doing this with a different guy every night.
