Does racism go both ways?

I go to school with a intelligent and outspoken African American woman. I do not dislike her in the least bit, however recently I have discovered she may have a distain for me. Not because I am rude to her or mistreat her but because the color of my skin. I am white. She has made many comments about how white people are all born with money, how we have never and will never struggle like a black person and she has even said " that's why I hate white people". Now I understand that little to no "white people" have struggled like the African people did prior to the civil war and even the many years after. I understand that many African Americans are still treated poorly today because the color of their skin. It is wrong! But it is also wrong to say you hate an entire group of people based on the color of their skin with it is white, brown, green, or purple? Do you think racism is a two or shoot six way street? Maybe I am just to easily offended or maybe I read to much into things. Share your thoughts?
